A Home at the End of the World

has anyone seen this yet?

apparently a drama about Colin Farrell growing up from youth to manhood. Sissy Spacek apparently smokes a little pot too. (lol)

I saw it a few weeks ago. I am one who read the book so I was a bit disappointed in the movie but it was alright.
Some have hailed Colin's Farrel performance but I thought his puppy dog performance was annoying.
I really think that they should have gone more into the characters pasts like in the book but that wouldnt allow the stars much screen time now would it.
Was really looking forward to this but I didnt think it was as meanngful as it could have been.
Yes, Sissy Spacek smokes a lot of weed. :)

I have the book but may end up seeing the film before reading it.

Haven't read the book, but I saw the film today. I really loved it.

I enjoyed Colin's subtle, low-key performance as Bobby, a character who seems the polar opposite of his own persona. Erik Smith and Harris Allan (hey, "QAF"'s Hunter! ) were well cast as the younger version of the characters. I liked the believably tangled confusion of emotions and relationships among the trio. (While the specifics of the relationships may be a bit different, the emotional situations are relatable. )

Far exceeded my expectations.

Wow, Robin Wright Penn looks like absolute hell in this. Thankfully she's a good actress.

I was reading yesterday that the reason they cut his manhood out is because that's all critics were asking him about at the press junkets so he asked it to be..removed.

Frank...
Go see the movie first. I think if you do it the other way around like I did, you won't like it as much.

Wow, that was quick. I just saw it three weeks ago.

Warner has officially announced Home at the End of the World which stars Wendy Crewson, Robin Wright-Penn, Colin Farrell, Matt Frewer and Sissy Spacek. The film, from the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of The Hours, will be available to own from the 2nd November this year. Retail will be set at around $27.95.
