When I was a kid I always saw Patrick Bergin as Iron Man. He looked exactly like him in a couple of comics during the early 90's. Too old and unknown now though.

I always thought Tom Sellek would be great for the role. Probably a little older than they want to portray though.

Aaron Eckhart could pull it off, IMHO.

Why not? Hulk is Universal.. Iron Man is New Line. Only Avi can nix the idea. And this would put the kaibosh on a Hulk 2

I've always liked the first person attached to this role for the part - Mel Gibson. I think he'll really look like the original comie Stark.

But hey so did Ben Affleck for Daredevil.
Cruise had respect for the Mission Impossible show too and look what he did to Jim Phelps!

If Ghost Rider never gets off the ground, I would like to see Nicolas Cage take this role. I've read that Iron Man is his favorite comic, so you would think he'd try to grab this part.

I would love to see Ashton Kutcher as Tony Stark, Urkel as Jim Rhodes and Jackie Chan as The Mandarin!
