Making Lynch's "Wild At Heart" 15 minutes shorter

Wild At Heart is a 2hr 4min movie. I need to shave 15 minutes off of it to screen in a 1hr 50min time slot.

I can get it down to almost exactly 2hrs by losing the head and end credits, but I really need to lose another 10 min or the film can't play.

I know, I know, this "isn't how the director intended it" etc. I'm really just curious if anybody has any ideas. What scene or scenes could be cut or trimmed.

I've thought about literally speeding it up slightly, but an 8% speed increase would definitely be noticeable.

Anyone wanna' play "trim the movie" with me?

Cut out a random 15 minutes right in the middle, see if anyone notices.

How exactly are you doing this and why?

Cut out all the scenes with Diane Ladd. Nobody likes her anyway.

Why exactly are you doing this? Are you IMAX from 2 years ago?

Ahhh... now that's a whole other discussion. I feel like I could cut 30 min out of Lost Highway and nobody would notice.

How exactly are you doing this and why?
If I can figure out if there's an easy scene or 2 to cut, I'll be doing it by converting a VHS to DVD and in the process, editing out some parts here or there.

I'm doing it because I'd like to screen the film in a class but it only runs 1hr 50min and the film might be a little sketchy if you miss the final 15.

I haven't watched it in a while so I'm going to take a look at it again. But I think there's a Crispen Glover scene in there that was pretty disposable. But I doubt it's 10 minutes worth.

If anybody else who's familiar with the film has any suggestions, I'd be interested in hearing them.
Thanks

also have someone flash a card before the movie to include the claimer:

"this movie has been time compressed, edited and recomposed to fit your screen and fit the allocated time frame of two hours."

I haven't seen it in a while but here are some thoughts:

- Agree with the Crispin Glover scene
- sadly you could lose the Jack Nance scene (my dog barks some...)
- The "bar fight" / dancing scene
- Sailor's story about "peaches"

although cutting any part of this movie seems wrong
