What are some good "Coming of Age" movies?

I think I'm always a sucker for Coming of Age movies. By that I mean movies where it focuses on a character (usually a kid/teen) and the way events shape/affect their outlook/behavior on life.

Some good ones I really liked:
White Oleander
My Girl
My Life as a Dog
Life as a House
Ponnette
Thirteen

Some I didn't like as much:
Igby Goes Down
Me Without You

I'm sure I've seen lots of others, but thats just off the top of my head. Can anyone recommend some other goods ones?

Ice Age....the transition from the prehistoric era to the ice age. That was a huge event in history

Breakfast Club. (not a single person, and only a short period of time, but the events changed their outlooks/behaviors somewhat)

Malena
Cinema Paradiso
Billy Elliot
October Sky
Welcome to the Dollhouse
The War (Elijah Wood)
Rabbit-Proof Fence
Magdalene Sisters (not the prototypical coming-of-age film but perhaps can be considered in that light as well)
City of God (primarily a gangster film but a bit of a stretch could lead you to consider it as a coming-of-age film)

classic films pick (not on DVD): Captains Courageous - 1937

Man in the Moon is a great choice. It came out around the same time as My Girl, and is a very underated movie.

Lucas.

Edit: to add a link.. http://www.allmovie.com/cg/avg.dll?p=avg&sql=3:K|29948. A couple of additions from it that may get overlooked (agree with The Man in the Moon and Pump Up the Volume).

Dogfight
Flirting
