I think Vietnam and WW2 have been beaten to death. I'd like to see more modern day warfare movies. I'd like to see one about Iraq, so I voted other.

The French and Indian War (1756-1763) aka The Seven Years War.

Or The Revolution or War of 1812. or The Mexican-American War - basically anything pre-Civil War.....Can't get enough of that kind of stuff.

Bacon's Rebellion would make a great movie as well.....

Revolutionary. There are very, VERY few good Revolutionary War pics out there. WWII and Vietnam have been done to death. Korea is downplayed, as is WWI. Some good Civil War stuff out there. But really, we need a GREAT revolutionary war pic.

The War of 1812. I want to see the Brits sack Washington!

(Of course knowing Hollywood in the movie version President Kenau Reeves would singlehandedly save the White House from the torch by winning a slow-mo kung fu battle with King Gary Oldman III.)

I've always enjoyed movies about The Cold War (you know espionage and such things) so I voted other.

How about the Crusades mixed in with the Iraqi war. That would be great.

In regards to "normal" wars, I have to go with WWI... There were some decent WWI movies before WWII came about, but I can't think of one made in quite some time. It was such a revolutionary war fought like no war before it.

That said, I voted other... There's a semi-war not on the list that I'd be interested in seeing a decent movie of: The Boxer Rebellion. Just bought a book on it last week, and the whole thing was quite amazing.

Regardless of the fascinating details of the diplomats struggle, you had Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Japan, America, Britain and other countries in an international conflict against China trying to get into Peking to rescue the diplomats... They had been surrounded by thousands of Chinese for a couple of months in the heart of China. News stories has gone across the world saying they had all been massacred while they were still trying to fight off the Chinese Imperial Army and the Boxers.

But the fact you had all those countries working together in 1900, with the seeds that caused WWI and WWII already planted, in addition to it's unique aspect of being a true "International" coalition against a country long before such things were considered to be normal. Would we ever see a modern movie on the Boxer Rebellion? Not a chance in hell. But it would have the potential of being a great movie.

WW1. With so many movies and rich history of WW2, the first great war gets lost in the mix.

We need more Jessica Lynch movies. Such an epic story with only one motion picture, a tv one to boot. Shameful.
