Please explain the alternate endding for the Butterfly Effect?
I was into the movie until the end.
Did Amy Smart and her brother end up being kids under Ashton's mom since you see them celebrating a birthday with Ashtons mom. Also did Ashton eventally end up marrying Amy because it ends in a wedding scene. Was Ashton really alive during the movie since the fortune teller said he had no life line? |
You may want to use spoiler tags. But here's my take:

Ashton's). Also did Ashton eventally end up marrying Amy because it ends in a wedding scene. That's another guy, not Evan. Was Ashton really alive during the movie since the fortune teller said he had no life line? In the last "change" he makes, he's never born. So, no. |
Yet another dupe topic that has been discussed. And only 4 pages this time. Guess if it's not on the first there's no hope whatsoever! Good job!!

Is there really a need for such a snotty response? The title of the thread that you provided is "Butterfly Effect: Too realistic for moviegoers? ", which does not address the alternate endings in the title, so maybe the poster did a quick topic title search and didn't think that it answered his questions. Just stating the link without the comments would have sufficed.

In the alt. ending Evan was never born. Therefore, Kayleigh and her brother went on to live with their mother. So they never knew anything of the neighborhood that Evan lived in. So she ended up marrying some other dude. And her brother ended up being a good kid. They all had nice lives because Evan was never born.
