I could name a ton of great looking, super talented actors and actresses from the "golden era" of cinema (James Dean, Brando circa 1954, Elizabeth Taylor, Audrey Hepburn, Cary Grant, etc.), but I'll stick to current ones. Harrison Ford and Goldie Hawn are two of my very favorite stars, so I have to mention them, even if their prime was 15-20 years ago. More recent ones:

Actors
Johnny Depp

Brad Pitt
Jude Law
Ewan McGregor
Mark Wahlberg (ok, not in the acting league as some of the others, but I thought he was great in Boogie Nights and The Perfect Storm)....plus

Actresses
Diane Lane (smart and sexy....just seems like she'd be cool to have as a friend)

Michelle Pfeiffer
Charlize Theron
Catherine Zeta-Jones

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Julia Roberts.

I think you just gave away the fact that you aren't attracted to women.

Yep, back then she used to get beat up in school because she looked like a boy.

I agree. I thought the Cohens made her look even more beautiful than she normally does.

I believe my two picks answer both questions.

Female: Charlize Theron. Sure it took Monster, where she uglified herself, to show the world her talent, but now she has that lethal combination of looks and talent.

Male: Tom Cruise. I can't believe people say he's a bad actor. Watch Born on the Fourth of July, Magnolia, and Vanilla Sky to see how good he is. Probably the most underated actor out there. Too much is focused on his looks and popularity.

Nope, b/c I'm not gay But there's nothing wrong with saying another female looks good...I just don't think Julia Roberts is all that attractive. But, I figured someone would mention her. She's been on People's 50 Most Beautiful list many times and I thought most guys thought she was so adorable.

Yeah, he's dreamy alright, but he's usually TERRIBLE when acting. I used to be a defender of his... never again.
