Saw it in theaters and again on DVD and i absolutely love this movie! Lines like these had me rolling on the floor:

(Ron crying in the phone booth histerically after baxter got punted)
Anchor Buddy: "Ron, where are you??!!!"
Ron: "IM IN A GLASE CASE OF EMOTION!!!!!!!!"

(Ron jumps into bear pit to save Veronica, looks around.....sees all the bears)
Ron: "I immediatly regret this decision"

So many great stuff i cant even remember them, ill watch it again and come back with more

My favorite line is in Wake Up, Ron Burgundy when Ron is giving the PSA and he asks what happened to all old ways, "Did they they go the way of the Tyranus Rex?"

He doesn't say Tyrannosaurus Rex, he says, "Tyranus Rex." Something about that cracks me up.

A friend dragged me and some friends to see this in the theater claiming it was the funniest thing he'd seen in ages.

Darnit, he was right. It was the funniest thing he'd seen in ages. Much to my delight I found myself laughing my ass off as well.

We still use quotes around the office:

I ate a Big Red Candle.

I ate pink insulation, it wasn't cotton candy like the man said. My stoamch's itchy.

I love scotch. Scotchy, scotch, scotch. Here it goes down. Down into my belly.

Now this is happening

That's how I roll

Straight shot. Right to the babymaker.

It jumped up a notch!
(replied with) It did, didn't it.

It's so damn hot... milk was a bad choice.

I'm a man who discovered the wheel and built the Eiffel Tower out of metal and braun. That's what kind of man I am. Your just a woman with a brain a third the size of us men. It's science.
(or just "It's science" with a knowing look)

Great Odin's raven!

Zeuses Beard!

Uncle Josaih's corn-cob pipe!

I'm storming your castle on my steed, m'lady.

This movie has some great lines:

"...they named it San Diego, which in German, means 'whale's vagina'"

"I will smash your face into a car windshield and then take your mother Dorothy Mantooth out for a nice seafood dinner and never call her again!"

Even if I wasn't lactose intolerant, that line would still be funny.
I picked up the 3 disc deal at Best Buy and we've only watched the unrated cut, but I thought it was pretty funny. I'd like to see it in a group as I think it would play better that way.

Watched it last night and thought it was pretty funny. My favorite part was the banter after the newscast.

"I will punch you in the ovary! Right in the baby maker!"

I thought it would be better than it was. A lot of funny lines and a great all star fight but over all a pretty terrible movie.

My favorite part of Wake-Up, was when Brick was eating the food out of the garbage can.

I too loved the original but hated Wake Up

I ended up keeping the original & selling Wake Up on eBay for $30(which is more than I paid for the complete 2-pack)

I loved this movie! Plenty of great quotables. Now I regret not picking the set up at Best Buy to get the extra disc.

I kinda liked it the first time I watched it alone but it has certainly grown on me, I found myself laughing much more when I watched it with my wife. Wake Up, however, is much worse. I found it quite tedious with a merely a few laughable nuggets floating around this comedy Port-a-john. I've yet to watch the BB bonus disc, however.

I love Will Farrells stuff, if anything I think he is the funniest silver-screen comedian out right now.

With that said, this movie was absolutel rot! I bought the super-deluxe DVD version and watched only the first 20 minutes of it. After that I feel asleep and havn't tried to watch it since then. This movie should have been an SNL skit, I think it coulda worked this way, but I just found that that the characters were not funny, but obnoxious. The only exception was the the "I'm mentally retarded" guy. I thought that part was funny when he was introducing himself. But everyone else was meh... With what I saw in the first 20 minutes, most of it was previewed to me at the begining of other movies, and it just ruined it for me. From Wills off-camera comments to "Cannonball!!", it just wasn't as funny anymore.

Now going off on a small tangent here, but here is the issue I have with Will Farrell. I think that although he is one of the funniest people alive, he's just not right for a main character roll. When he's a support character like in Old School, and Zoolander, the guy so unbelievably funny. In fact thats why I liked the movies so much becuase of Will. When he's in the pilot seat though, I just don't find him as funny, in this case with Anchorman, and even in The Elf, I just can't see him as being the lead actor in a movie. I dunno, maybe its me, but there is such a thing as Will Farrell overload.

Just my $0.02

Anchorman had dry humor? I do not think that phrase means what you think it means.

Man, I've seen this movie 3-4 times now and have come to the conclusion that it's the funniest movie I've ever seen. From the very beginning ("suits that make Frank Sinatra look like a hobo") to the very end I was almost crying from laughter. The Afternoon Delight part is probably my favorite.

Re: Anyone see "Anchorman"...how is it?

First time I saw this, I thought it was complete garbage.

Second time I saw this, I thought I my initial impressions were too harsh - probably because of all the times I've heard people quote lines from the movie.

Just revisited it for a third time the other day. I thought my initial impressions weren't harsh enough. Enough time had passed that I forgot pretty much the entire plot and it was almost like seeing it again for the first time. I didn't laugh, and maybe cracked a smile once.
