Hollywood actress Naomi Watts has landed her first action role - in new spy movie Daisy Scarlett. The Oscar-nominated star, 35, will reportedly start work on the film once she completes filming the sequel to hit horror flick The Ring. Watts's Sydney-based publicist John Cann says, "We will hopefully know something more concrete in the near future." British actress Kate Beckinsale was the original choice for the lead - but the producers wanted someone who wouldn't normally be associated with an action role. The film is to be directed by Leon film-maker Luc Besson - and will revolve around M16 agent Scarlett who investigates the deaths of high-profile people whose vital organs have been removed.

He's been rumored to make several wannabe nikita's latley.

They should have Natalie Portman back as her character in Leon if just for cameo.

Good to see him back in the director's chair, since his producer-only films have been pretty bad.
