As someone else said, Venom's backstory alone would take up most of a film. You have to establish that Parker has the symbiote, which he gets in the Secret Wars, then that he realizes it's a symbiote, gets rid of it, and then do the whole Sin Eater story to establish Eddie Brock, and then you can finally start the story where Venom fights Spider-Man. So the movie would either have to be three hours or they do some drastic rewriting to the Venom backstory.

So are you going to say "I called it"?
Cause if you are, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that the AL will win the world series. Perhaps I could bump this thread when the time comes to see if my pretty general guess is somewhat correct.
