DVD Talk Legend
The Elephant Man (1980)...... 5/10
Dune (1984)......................... 1/10
Eraserhead (1977)................ 1/10
Never bothered watching another movie from him. I also did not like Twin Peaks from the half episode I forced myself to watch.
Elephant Man was ok at least.

and I just don't like Dune, so I don't even count it. I love Lynch, I love sci-fi, but I really don't like Dune. Go fig.
I'm still broken on Twin Peaks, I watched it and was kinda lost. I've been meaning to go back to it, but as I've never seen the television show, I'm hoping to watch this first.
On that note, I would like to make a complaint about Lynch. He's a brilliant filmmaker, but I HATE how he doesn't even seem to make the slightest effort on getting his material so people can watch it. Seriously, Wild at Heart, Lost Highway aren't even out there on DVD, Twin Peaks is a big giant mess to buy on DVD (season 1 is available, but it doesn't have the pilot episode, and season 2...who knows) and the only way to buy Eraserhead is to pay a WAY overpriced $50 through his damn website. I love his flicks, but I wish someone would slap him and get his films released properly.

1. TWIN PEAKS: FIRE WALK WITH ME (one of the five scariest films I've ever seen)
2. LOST HIGHWAY
3. MULHOLLAND DR. (even though it's really just LOST HIGHWAY REDUX)
4. THE ELEPHANT MAN
5. BLUE VELVET (a movie I used to despise and now, after multiple views, find to be a near masterpiece)
6. (tie) DUNE/ERASERHEAD
7. THE STRAIGHT STORY
8. WILD AT HEART
I just got THE SHORT FILMS OF DAVID LYNCH this week for my birthday so, woo-hoo, my Lynch DVD collection is (to date) complete at last!

1. Blue Velvet
2. The Elephant Man
3. The Straight Story
4. Eraserhead
5. Twin Peaks: FWWM
6. Lost Highway
7. Mulholland Dr.
Haven't seen the rest, but I plan on catching up soon. By the way, I don't really hate any Lynch movie (yet), so this list ranges from "excellent" to "pretty good".

It's really hard to choose the order since it changes with repeated viewings, but it's always Lost Highway, Mulholland Dr., and Eraserhead in the top spots.
BTW, for anyone still debating whether or not to buy the Eraserhead DVD, BUY IT. When it's finally in your hands and you watch it for the first time, the only disappointment you'll feel is not having bought it sooner. Seriously, it's one of the most satisfying purchases I've ever made.
