Oh Nom Shiva
Oh Nom Shiva
Good god that stuff scared me.
Little factoid for those interested:
Temple of Doom was the only movie where suspense really got to me. During the cutting the bridge" scene, I go so worked up I yelled out "CUT THE BRIDGE" in the theater. I was about 10 at that time. Everybody started laughing.

Made even more magical by the fact that his 'heil Hitler" conveyed information important to the story.
Toht gets me vote too!

A few minor, but important foes:
The evil little monkey.
The cobra in the well of souls.
Alfred Molina
Adolph Hitler
The giant swordsman whom Indy calmly blows away.

Belloq for me. He was such a slippery, charming and interesting villain and great at besting Indy at nearly every turn: "You could warn them...if you only spoke Hovitos," "Next time, Indiana Jones, it will take more than children to save you," "Who knows, in a thousand years, even you may be worth something!" He was terrific at mind games.
The other villains were more physically challenging (Indy 2) and Donovan was more or less an indirect threat.
