Burton Invites Foursome to 'Chocolate Factory'

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Tim Burton has handed out golden tickets to four lucky young actors.
The remaining children's roles have been cast in the director's big-screen adaptation of Roald Dahl's "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Freddie Highmore stars as on the impoverished Charlie, who finds a lucky golden ticket that gains him entrance to the legendary Willy Wonka's (Johnny Depp) chocolate factory. The four other kids on the tour include competitive Violet Beauregarde (AnnaSophia Robb), TV-obsessed Mike Teavee (Jordan Fry), wealthy brat Veruca Salt (Julia Winter) and the gluttonous Augustus Gloop (Philip Wiegratz). "Waking Ned Devine" star David Kelly stars as Charlie's Grandpa Joe.
Winter and Wiegratz make their feature acting debuts. Robb stars in another feature adaptation of a children's novel "Because of Winn-Dixie," which will be released in January 2005.
Burton most recently directed the fantastical "Big Fish" in 2003. "Chocolate Factory" will begin shooting next week and is scheduled to hit theaters in July 2005.
Can't wait to see this one!
