Okay, I have to ask this. I saw a movie when I was younger, and maybe i'm crazy, but I could have sworn that it only lasted about 30 minutes. It's probably just my mind thinking that, but I remember all the events of the movie happening so quickly. Okay , here we go....


A group of friends stop in a house that does NOT belong to them (more than likely). It's very dark. One of them, a fat guy, goes outside to use the outhouse. He's gone for a while, so his friends go to the outhouse and they find his slashed up body in their.

They are horrified. They grab his body and drag it back inside the house. For some reason, some of the group goes outside to investigate. One of the guys is running around at one point and he falls into a freshly dug grave. He stands up in the grave, looks up, and sees that the killer is standing above him. I remember that the guy screams, and blood spatters on his face while he is standing in the grave (he was killed obviously, I guess the blood was his).

One girl is running around outside, and she sees a car. She gets in the car, and notices that her friend is sitting in the passenger seat. She taps the friend on the shoulder, and either she sees that the friends throat is cut, or the head rolls off the shoulders (I think).

Anyway, the girl runs back to the house. There are only 2 girls left. They run upstairs with the killer chasing them. Apparently there is a Cop outside. SOMEBODY, maybe the killer, gets knocked out of the 2nd story window in a struggle. This person lands near the cop, and the cop shoots his gun into this person's head, killing them.


WHAT MOVIE IS THIS?????? I know I didn't dream it. I remember watching this movie. It was kinda creepy at the time, since I was young.

Believe me, I've seen a lot of 'em! I think that when the cop shoots the guys head at the end, it explodes. Almost looks like a watermelon blowing up.

Anyone else have any ideas?

Are you being serious? It really sounds like you are describing Generic Scenes from a Horror Movie.

If you are being serious - it has a few similarities to Friday the 13th part V - A New Beginning. But, the details are wrong. Any chance you are just mis-remembering this one?

Oh I am 100 percent serious. I have a very vivid memory of watching this on t.v. in my brother's room when I was younger. It's not a New Beginning.

Sounds like a mid-late 80s slasher movie, not one from the late-70s early 80s boom. Do you have any idea what the killer wore, or what he/she used to kill people?

No, i'm not sure what was worn. The killer was never even shown up until the very end. It was probably late 80's when I saw it on t.v.

If only was a half an hour long, it wouldn't been an episode of "Tales from the Crypt" or something like that?

I can sort of remember a TFTC where there was a fraternity hazing at an old abandoned "haunted" mansion, but that's about it. I was in high school and college while that show was running and spent a lot of that time drunk off of my ass.

I think you're right! I looked it up on IMDB....It's listed under the alternate title "Death Screams".

I read one of the reader reviews, and they confirmed the stuff I said! They even talk about a sheriff, and a very realistic EXPLODING HEAD.

The review says that the killer doesn't really start killing much until the last 10 minutes, which is when the people finally show up at the HOUSE OF DEATH. I must have started watching it at that part, that's why it seemed so short.

Oh wow.... Thank you so much for your help! I have to rent this movie now. It sounds incredibly cheesy, but still, I need to see it.

And yes, I remember seeing it on "A & E", but I didn't say anything because I thought that I actually was just imagining that.

Do they still air that movie?

Hey, type out a summary of the movie, just so I can see how accurate it is to my description. I want to see how my memory from my youth actually remembered this. Some of the details are probably way off.
