Pretty neat site. Not a bad list at all. Im glad they put that thing with the guy in the dog suit from The Shining. That part is scary as hell even though I don't know why.

What I don't like...
he's got a fixation on The Shining. And Poltergesit. And body snatcher movies. They take up too much of the list.
Some "scariest scenes" are pretty damn tame too. Quint's speech? GREAT, yes, but scary? Um, no.

Oh no Sean, I know it's a great list... it's a great read, and there's a lot of nice surprises. It's not just his opinion, I might add; he says he had lots of e-mails on what to include.
I just figured that, since all the posts have been positive so far, it might be nice to get a different view.
Here's some stuff I think belongs in there:
I don't know how many of you have ever seen Jacob's Ladder, but it's filled with frightening images. None moreso than when Tim Robbin's character's girlfriend (played by Elisabeth Pena) attempts to wake him up; she says "wake up! Wake up!" and then, facing the camera, eyes empty and black, she shouts "WAKE UP!!!"
It'll scare the hell out of you.
What else...
The Others has a couple of very good frights. "I've seen the old woman the most..." yeah, but wait till WE see her!

"C'mon! I'll show you where my father keeps his gun..."

Overall, a good list, but I think The Shining made the list a few too many times.

a lot of Willy Wonka freaked me out, when I was young, the Umpa Lumpas, the kid sucked up into the chocolate tube (where did he go!?!)
