And Trading Places was just rerun this weekend (I know, big shock) - which features a fairly length cut of a security guard watching Sunset Boulevard for some reason.

IMO, The Limey is one of the better movies of the past 5 years and very few people have seen it...

I remember in Star Trek Generations they got too cheap to blow up a new Klingon warbird, so they just used the same explosion shot from Star Trek 6. Pretty...lame.

How can this thread go on this long and no one mention Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid, which is largely comprised of scenes ripped from other films?

AUSTIN POWERS: GOLDMEMBER does something similar - showing a clip from ALFIE as a flashback for Michael Caine's character.

Malcolm X uses some (alternate) footage from JFK in the scene where Malcolm compares the Kennedy assassination to chickens coming home to roost. In the end credits, you will the same actors listed (the doubles for the Kennedys and Connellys in the motorcade seqeuence). Spike Lee also thanks Oliver Stone.

In Sunset Blvd. Gloria Swanson plays an aging woman who was a movie star many years earlier. Her character is obsessed with herself and watches her old films, so of course in the scene where she is watching one, it's one of Swanson's films, Queen Kelly. QK was directed by Erich von Stroheim, who plays the butler in SB.

In Airplane!, in a shot where there was a view of the runway through the plane's front window... the "runway" was a clip that, I'm not sure if it was from another movie, but it was something else that hadn't been initially filmed for Airplane.
Eh, that's the first thing that came to mind, anyway.
