Does anyone actually want to see Shrek 2?
Maybe its the fact that I now hate the original after seeing it a billion times at work, or that Shrek is everywhere at the moment, but is there actually much interest in this sequel? No one I know is talking about this movie even though everyone loved the original back in 2001.
I think the fact that Shrek is becoming what it made fun of in the first film (crass Disney marketing) is really going to hurt it.

In a word: Yes.
And I am not alone. I know many people who are looking forward to it, including my two daughters who can't get enough of Shrek. This way I can take them to a movie they will like and I will manage to get a few laughs out of it myself.

I really have very little interest in seeing this one. The first was good for a few laughs but since that time I have really grown to dislike both Mike Myers and Eddie Murphy. I'll probably rent it on DVD sometime in the future though. Also no one I know seems to care either.

I really enjoyed the first one; yet, I can't seem to muster even the slightest interest in this one. Perhaps it's that mother****ing All Star song. Yeah, that's probably it.

Hell no.
I heard good things about the first one, and was sadly disappointed and angry to find myself laughing once or twice over the course of the entire film. Considering that Dreamworks' previous CGI outing, Antz, was smart and hilarious, I couldn't understand why Shrek was stupid and morbidly unfunny. I have less than zero interest in the sequel.

Yeah. My family enjoyed the first one and we are looking forward to the second one. And lets face it plenty of people will be taking their rugrats to go see it.

Nope. I had no desire to see the first one, but was pleasantly surprised by it. I don't think it is a francise that needs to be revisited. Now, if Pixar were to announce another Toy Story, I will hop into that universe anytime.

Nah. The first one was entertaining, but I really have no interest in seeing this. The whole thing is played out, for me. I'll wait for DVD, unless my wife drags me to go see it.

I'm not planning to see it in the teater but I'll get the DVD when it's out. The first was great but I got sick of it after seeing it so much. To me the whole thing just smells of the studio trying to cash in on the success of the first with a sequel that won't be any good.
