Tom Sizemore - Screwing up his life and career

CNN Story

This guy just can't seem to pull it together. He's been spiraling downward for the last 2 or 3 years now and it's a shame. I've enjoyed everything I've seen him in, including Saving Private Ryan, Heat, Striking Distance and even the short-lived TV show he had on CBS a couple seasons ago.

I hope he straightens himself out and can get back on the big screen someday soon. He's a great actor IMHO.

I agree - I've heard he's been involed in a lot of bad shit as of late.

I think he's a great actor as well, hopefully he hangs in there.

He was awesome in Reservoir Dogs.

Seriously, I've always enjoyed his work, so I hope he can get his shit together. Of course, having everyone think you're Michael Madsen probably doesn't help.

Michael Madsen could star as Tom Sizemore in the Tom Sizemore bio-pic

I never thought about these guys looking similar until it was mentioned in this thread. Hehe. But now that I think about it, they do bear an uncanny resemblance to each other.

I checked out IMDB after my first post and I see that Mr. Sizemore is due out in no less than 4 movies this year! I don't know how he's doing it since he's been in and out of jail for the last year or so (AFAIK). Maybe his problems aren't the big hindrance to his career that I thought they would be.

The 42-year-old actor was convicted in 2003 on charges of beating and threatening Fleiss.
Beating up hookers?

I wouldn't worry about Sizemore. Hell, if they can keep Robert "Downer" Jr. working though his drug bullshit then Sizemore will be fine.

Considering that Robert Downey Jr. seemed to make more movies while he was IN jail than when he was out, I think Sizemore will be fine. Unlike most professions, ridiculous drug use and arrests don't seem to hurt people's careers...unless you're dead.

Re: Tom Sizemore - Screwing up his life and career

Do you think Mickey Rourkes comeback with "The Wrestler" might force Sizemore to go clean and get one big comeback role and have similar success?

He can't do crap like this anymore or self made porn movies nobody wants to see.

Or just make "The Boxer" for Asylum.

I guess his foray into amatuer porn didn't help out either...
