Characters you can relate to
I don't think this has been done before....
Anyhow, that movie characters can you relate you - not just kind of relate to, but TRULY relate to - as if their mental person was a copy of you? |
Lane Meyer from Better Off Dead.
|
|
Peter from Office Space.
"It's not that I'm lazy, it's that I just don't care." <- That quote sums up my entire life. |

custom001,
Um you know you shouldn't uh stack them on top of each other cause it damages the records... I sometimes feel like Dick from that Movie AKA Todd Louiso http://www.sidekickmagazine.com/may00/8heads.gif |
Off the top of my head... I'd say Willie from Beautiful Girls. There's probably a better one but I can't think of it now. He is kind of an "everyman" that isn't sure what he wants in life... just like a lot of us I s'pose. I can also relate to Rappaport's character in this movie to some extent.
This movie just had very REAL characters IMHO. |

The Narrator from 'Fight Club.'
And occassionally, JOHNNY WAD! |
John Cusack in High Fidelity

Lester Burnham. I quit my stupid job in a call centre, started exercising again (wailing on my pecs ;) ) and have discovered a new zest for life! I just hope mine doesn't end like Lester's :p |
"Luke, I am your father." Oh wait, wrong thread.

Mine has to be Pvt. Hudson from Aliens. Total inspiration till the very end. |
Alex from "Fatal Attraction".
:) |
barry egan
|
John Cusack in High Fidelity for sure.
Cameron Crowe from Almost Famous |
All of the main characters in Charlie Kaufman screenplays are extremely sympathetic to me (and seem to be to a number of other people). Kaufman in Adaptation (especially his internal monologue) was eerily similar to the way I think.
