Ocean's Eleven (2001)

Fear and loathing in Lv

Ocean's Eleven or Fear and Loathing - I can't decide.

Goodfellas II gets my vote.

Ocean's Eleven (remake or original) and Fear and Loathing are right below it.

Fools Rush In is right behind those two.

I'm guessing Godfather 2 wouldn't be counted as a Vegas movie, would it. Otherwise...er I guess Ocean's Eleven.

Gotta go with Leaving Las Vegas, but One From the Heart is a close second.

Casino with Leaving Las Vegas a close 2nd.

If this one was on the list I would have a hard time choosing between it and Fear and Loathing.

Casino is by far one of the most realistic movies made about Vegas. I lived in Vegas while a lot of that was going on. The names and locations were changed but it was essentially based on fact. For instance: Rosenthal’s (not Rothstein) wife never died of an O.D., he lives here in San Diego and an acquaintance of mine does security work for him, and his main job is making sure the wife doesn’t loot the mansion while he is out of town. The casino’s name was the Stardust, not the Tangiers… etc.

All in all one of the best movies about the “real” Vegas.

I'll go with the Soderbergh remake of Ocean's 11.

Casino, definitely #1. The remake of Ocean's 11 was very good for the type of film it was.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas got my vote.
