I wrote a letter to a major advice column one time a while back, which basically said "I'm a slob, my best friend is an ass, and the one woman I know refuses to go out after dark. What's wrong with my life?"

Next thing I know........."Shrek" is in theaters.

While I wouldn't say that it "reflected my life" I can say that 'John Q' definitely struck a note with me.

I saw it at a point where my mother was in critical condition, and we lost our insurance in the middle of her hospital stay. At the time of the insurance drop, her healthcare quality seriously dropped off.

While I would certainly never take a hospital hostage, man could I ever relate.

Swingers

The actual events aren't stuff I do, but the main character was in a very similar situation to me, life-wise and romance-wise. And some of the scenes were painful, because I've been in very similar situations (the excessive calling to the point where the girl says don't call back again, the being in one room and not making it with a girl while my bud is in the next room banging away).

especially at the scene where Rob and Dick talk about reorganzing records autobigrophically and Dick says "That sounds... comforting." I guess I was the only one in the theatre who didn't think that was weird.

(I know I'm a freak )

Actually, I think that's a great idea. Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to remember the events surrounding the purchase of all my CDs. So it would be about 50 CDs in order, and the rest a complete jumble.

I want to apologize for my curiosity, but did you end up with THE girl in the end?
