Is the new "Walking Tall" a remake

Is this a remake of the true story of Bufford Pusser? I remember the original film back in the 70's, I think. Anyway, I like the guy who plays the villain, he has an intense look.

yes

Troy Stiffler 03-24-04 08:18 PM

Yes. But I think it's a very 'loose' remake.

Shannon Nutt 03-24-04 08:57 PM

Yes, the first one starred Mitchell...err, I mean Joe Don Baker.

Jackskeleton 03-24-04 09:15 PM

You mean the original didn't include the People's elbow?

If you smell what the Puss is cooking.

Edit: What I typed doesn't read as well as it sounded in my head.

Neil McDonough. If you don't know who he is, you need to stop whatever you're doing and check out "Band of Brothers."

He was also in "Boomtown" and Minority Report.
