I'm thinking they'll start shilling stuff for next summer. I wonder if there will be anything about Ghost Rider or Man Thing movies?

Yes, it is. As I said, based on last year, I wonder what films they'll be touting before crowds THIS year.

Last year... Saturday was positively INSANE with people. My stomach just knots up thinking what this year is going to be like unless they make some changes to ease the crowding, especially during the studios previews in ballroom 20.

Regardless, I'm there for all 4.5 days. Some of the best stuff is the "surprise guests" that will show up. One of the nice ones last year was when Quentin (and cast) showed up during Trailer Park: Reloaded for a Q&A and special screening of the trailer he cut for Kill Bill Vol. 1 that Miramax nixed (except for a select theaters).

Maybe as the time gets nearer we can plan for a DVD TAlk mini-meet.

If there's time in my work schedule, I may just have to pop down to the Comic-Con this year. It's been a long time since I've been.

I'm assuming Spider Man 2 and Hellboy. Perhaps Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow?

I don't think Hellboy or Spiderman stuff will be there. The movies will have already comeout so why promote them? Hellboy is out in the next few weeks so it will probably be out of the theaters by Comiccon time.

Just a question, it always seems that Comiccon is a big toy dealers fest and time to promote movies/TV. Does anyting major go on that relates to actual comic books?

Yes, but that's off topic. As for movies already out of the theaters -- don't forget the DVD push.

Here's some others that caught my eye ... in no particular order ...

Warner Home Video will present a special panel to unveil some of the studio's most in-demand DVD titles getting the deluxe Special Edition treatment this year. Showcased on stage will be actors Corey Haim and Corey Feldman for a special Q&A discussion about the upcoming Special Edition DVD release of the cult-favorite vampire movie The Lost Boys (WHAT!?! NO BLOWN AWAY Q&A!?! ... NOT IF I CAN HELP IT!!)

Godzilla at 50—The big guy doesn’t look 50 (50 million years old, that is), but it was a dark day in 1954 when he and Raymond Burr first destroyed Tokyo.

Hellboy DVD—Hellboy writer/director Guillermo del Toro (Blade II, The Devil’s Backbone), creator Mike Mignola (Dark Horse Entertainment), DVD producer Javier Soto, and visual effects supervisor Blair Clark (Tippett Studios) discuss the cutting-edge two-disc DVD set.

Richard Kelly Donnie Darko: The Director's Cut— Writer/director Richard Kelly will be on hand for an hour-long Q&A about his feature film debut, Donnie Darko, which has become a cult classic. The program will include clips from Donnie Darko: The Director's Cut, which will be theatrically rereleased on July 23 in select cities.

Wonder Woman DVD—Television's amazing Amazon has a new boxed DVD set from Warner Bros., but the celebration doesn't end there.

Battlestar and Beyond with Richard Hatch—Richard Hatch discusses his role on the new Battlestar Galactica series and why he chose to do it (Um, maybe because he's been jobless since the '70s?).

SCI FI Channel: Battlestar Galactica—The SCI FI Channel’s miniseries about the last remnants of humanity returns this January as an ongoing weekly series. Battlestar Galactica will thrust viewers back into the battle for the survival of the human race, as they search for their relentless Cylon enemy. Panelists include Tricia Helfer (Number Six ... Add a Nine and I'm there), Grace Park (Boomer), Aaron Douglas (CPO Tyrol), James Callis (Dr. Gaius Baltar), series writer Ron Moore, and executive producer David Eick.

Lions Gate: Open Water and Saw—The editors of CFQ magazine present an in-depth preview of two of this summer’s hottest upcoming films. First on the bill is Open Water, the most terrifying shark movie since Jaws, with stars Blanchard Ryan and Daniel Travis on hand to answer questions. Also, be the first to see the “first seven minutes” of Saw, a horrifying new thriller starring Cary Elwes. Tickets and giveaways will be awarded at the panel

TheOneRing.Net: Ringers/Peter S. Beagle—Get an exclusive first look at the upcoming feature-length documentary Ringers: Lord of the Fans and meet legendary fantasy author Peter S. Beagle (The Last Unicorn)!

20th Century Fox Presents Tru Calling starring Eliza Dushku (Must. Not. Salivate. Must. Not. Salivate.)—Television and film star Eliza Dushku (Faith on Buffy the Vampire Slayer) is gearing up for the second season of her hit Fox series, Tru Calling.

Freaks and Geeks—Freaks and Geeks ran on NBC for only one season, 1999–2000, but its cult status lives on today. Interest is at an all-time high with the recent release of the DVD box set, which Entertainment Weekly listed as a “must” for Summer 2004. Q&A with cast members John Francis Daley (Sam Weir), Samm Levine (Neal Schweiber), Martin Starr (Bill Haverchuck), and Natasha Melnick (Cindy Sanders).

Reality Stars Unleashed!—Meet some of your favorite reality TV stars, including Lex (Survivor Africa, Survivor All Stars), Trischelle (Hey, maybe I'll get a 'I Diddled Her Too' t-shirt!) (Real World Vegas, Real World Road Rules Challenge), Josh Souza (Big Brother 1), Erika Landin (Big Brother 4), Irulan Wilson (Real World Vegas, Real World Road Rules Challenge), Alton Williams (Real World Vegas, Real World Road Rules Challenge), and more in this exciting Q&A session.

Spotlight on Forrest J. Ackerman (Wooo! Forrey!)—He’s back! Science fiction and fantasy icon Forrest J. Ackerman, who inspired a generation of filmmakers, writers, and comic artists with his Famous Monsters of Filmland.

DVD Producers—The Digital Bits.com editors Bill Hunt and Todd Doogan talk DVD with some of the hottest producers working in the industry today. Scheduled to appear are Charles de Lauzirika (Alien Quadrilogy, Spider-Man 2), J.M. Kenny (Footloose: SE, Troy), David Prior (Panic Room: SE, Master and Commander), and Javier Soto (Devil's Backbone, Hellboy).

Boy, maybe we should plan a quick DVDTalk meet.

I'll be there every day (including Preview Night).

Now there's an idea. If only our fearless leader, or as I call him, Santa Kleinman were able to make the scene.
