For those of you that saw Gigli?

Was Gigli really that bad of a movie or did it just get a bad rap? Let me know.

Thanks

Personally, I rarely see a really bad movie. I can find some good quality of entertainment in just about everything. I haven't seen Gigli, but millions of people, not to mention the good folks of the Razzies, probably aren't too far off. So, as a result of the "rap" it's gotten, I really have no urge to see it, let alone spend good money on owning it.

Okay, I'll admit that I enjoy Afflecks work by and large.

I have not seen this film (but then again I don't see any films in the theatres any more), nor have I rented or bought it yet.

When it hits the $5.50 bin at WM (which judging by Glitter and Bedazzled, should be fairly soon), I will definately pick it up just to see about why all the negative hype.

But not until then.

I urge everyone who hasn't seen Gigli to avoid it at all costs!

Just be content with never having seen it.

It is one of the worst movies i have ever seen. affleck does his gangster accent, the plot goes no where, the plot is confusing, and the violence is a bit much for the type of movie.

^^^ Yeah, his appearance on the Tonite Show pretty much sealed the deal on that.

Bad rap. It's not as bad as its made out to be and has pretty humerous scenes.

It's a pretty bad film, but not nearly as bad as people make it out to be. I've seen much worse in 2003.

In any case, it's still a bad film - so avoid it.

Affleck is just trying to spin his bad press. Kevin Smith did the same thing for years with MALLRATS.

There is a long list of worse films that came out last year. GIGLI isn't good, but it has personality, and you can't say that about many films.

Why people chose to beat up on this film? Because of the celebrity couple factor. No film that does as little business as GIGLI did could be so universally hated. The bandwagon was a mile wide on that film.

It's not as bad as everyone made it out to be.

It got destroyed because Bennifer was at it's peak and people were getting sick of them. Their are a few lines of really bad dialouge, gobble gobble and Affleck's bull/cow speech that for some reason they put in the trailer, but I saw quite a few movies that were much worse in 2003*cough*House of the Dead*cough*
