Some help for a paper...

For my freshman college writing course, we have to choose a topic that incorporaates music, literature, and somewhat involves the themes we have discussed throughout the semester. I am hoping to use the topic of film and music, and somehow tie that to the literature. A theme we discuss often is that of Nietzsche's apollonian/dionysian argument. This links up with the power of music, and how it is more of a primal, higher force than language. We've read Doctor Faustus, and will be reading Great Gatsby. Im a little stuck on how I can involve film in this. I was thinking something like studying silent film and the way it used music. Wong Kar-Wai's In the Mood for Love also got me thinking. Any suggestions, help, or ideas would be great. Oh, and I'm hoping to pick up some dvds for "research" purposes if I go through with this.

Dude, just do you paper on how Howard Shore's score adds a whole new dimension to The Lord of the Rings movies...you've got everything you need for a paper in those three films...

...

I need textual support, and at least 5 sources though...it's a 12 page paper. Any literature you could point me to to support my paper?

Maybe you can choose one composer and not limit yourself to one movie.

I'd go with Hans zimmer.
