"A Japanese Story".....when??
 

O.K., what happened to this movie? According to it's official website, it said it opened in my city (D.C.) early Febuary. It didn't open here yet. Has it in your city?

Hasn't come around to my neck of the woods yet, but I'm interested in seeing it. I caught the review on Ebert and Roeper, and it looked pretty good.

the new date for the Wash DC run is scheduled for the 12th of March, at both (I think) Landmark theatres.

And if it doesn't hit your town (like it probably won't here), the DVD is out on 5/11.

Thank you! Just curious, where did you find this out? I went on the Landmark site and didn't see anything. The poster is up on the wall at the E Street Cinema.

I'm on the email list from Landmark, I remember reading it there.

it's now listed on Landmark's website, it's going to only be at the E Street Cinema, not at Bethesda.

On DVD: 5/11

It was playing in Chicago the same weekend I went to see Touching the Void at the arthouse (Pipers Alley) two weekends ago, and it's already gone.

I was surprised to see it open here shortly after I posted. Saw it this past weekend and thought it was a very good film.
