Another movie i can't wait to see. It's directed by Richard Linklater(The man that brought us "Dazed and Confused") and Stars Jack Black along with Sarah Silverman and Joan Cusack..

Great, another trailer which shows the entire freakin' movie.

It looked promising enough for a theater visit until it shifted gears into a kid's movie. But I love Jack Black, so I'll probably catch this on DVD.

This does look very promising. Should be much better than Shallow Hal.

Word up on the upcoming D movie...can't wait for that.

So is it, "School of Rock, or "The School of Rock"?

Power to the nit-pickers.

Anyway, it looks decent. I'll see it.

I thought the trailer looked pretty much like 'how many families can we convince to see this movie'

but i hear the film is very good (i'm sure we've all been reading the same reviews) so i'll see it for sure.

I remember hearing about a Tenacious D movie in the works (where I heard about it I have no idea).

I don't think this movie is a D movie...but I'm still curious if K.G. will show up....

I too will go to see this!

Sneak Alert! SCHOOL OF ROCK

For those living in the Hampton Roads, VA area, two of the local military base theaters are having a free sneak of SCHOOL OF ROCK with Jack Black on Saturday and Sunday. I'm there!

Last week, there was a Washington DC sneak of the film, but of course Hurrican Isabel happened that night, so I have no idea if it actually happened.

The New York based magazine Film Comment raved about this film, but of course they liked "Hulk" too, so.... (I still want to see it)

I saw a sneak preview tonight, and I thought it was in the alright to pretty good category, a solid B. Everyone seemed to express doubt going in. It wasn't uncommon to hear people say "The plot sounds really stupid, but it's got Jack Black!" Coming out, people said "The plot was really stupid... but it's got Jack Black!" And really, this is the perfect role for him. It takes his comedic music strengths, and gives it an outlet.

I enjoyed it a lot more than Shallow Hal, in that he was thrust into the straight man role that he really doesn't fit into. School of Rock takes him as far away as possible, since EVERYONE else is the straight character (even Silverman), but I did enjoy his antics, was a good time

I saw a sneek peak last night. I think I've had just about enough of Jack Black for now. He easily got on the audiences nerves. I think everyone was excited going in, but after, Jack was as popular as Urkel.
