If you like Harry Potter, these are still good - especially the first one. The others are if you really liked the first one.

I even put a lamppost in my backyard forest once when I lived in Georgia.

The video reminded me of the one for LOTR, though with more of a focus on creatures than rah-rah material ... still looks promising.

Bad news. Brian Cox is not voicing Aslan. The news came out at the Biola University media conference where Disney played the first full-length trailer.

You can find the info here. (I know the individual who reported this, and he is a trusted source.)

Oh really? So every time a film turned out badly because the studio decided to edit a film to death or fire people and drastically alter the contents, it was the writer and directors' faults?
Show me where it's been said that Disney has done any of what you just said? Show me how any of these other so-called movies have anything to do with this particular discussion.

This all comes down to Disney bashing, simply because it's cool nowadays to bash Disney. Wait until we actually see the damn film or hear reports of this before we go apesh*t on Disney.

Besides, I don't care what you say. The director and screenwriter will have far, far more impact on whether this is a good movie than Disney. That is a fact. But I'm sure if the film is not as good as one hopes, Disney will make a convenient scapegoat.

Actually, I was bashing Disney the first time I read The Jungle Books as a kid. Disney butchered it. Simply butchered it.

really aw cool! having perused the cast at IMDB's listing this pretty much looks like a British venture (thankfully) - with creature effects/SFX from KNB (double cool).

as for "Chamber of Secrets" - is this the theatrical cut, or an edited TV edit, or an expanded TV edit as they had done with the network edition of "The Sorcerer's Stone"?

The trailer has already leaked out on the Internet if you know where to look. I'd post a link, but the site I got it from doesn't have it anymore.

It looks pretty awesome.

According to ABC:
As a special treat for Harry Potter film fans, this presentation will include interstitials throughout featuring an exclusive first look at film clips, cast interviews and behind-the-scenes footage from the fourth Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, opening in theatres November 18, 2005.

The movie does look good. Here's to hoping the effects improve quite a bit over what's presented in the trailer.

Meh.

I didn't see anything particularly special about that trailer. There were a few cool shots, but it mostly looked like a bunch of men running around a soundstage wearing slightly above average Halloween masks.

We'll see how this turns out.

I put up a ton of pics I took of the Narnia display at the E3 Expo in Los Angeles which included actual film props, prosthetics and maquettes if anyone is interested:

saw the trailer in front of star wars....looked good....better than i had hoped for. I don't want to bash disney...I really don't. But it did scare me when I heard they were doing it. Seemed like a quick snatch and grab job after LOTR hit it off so well. Not to mention the most recent disney fare has not impressed me...National treasure, pirates, wrinkle in time...anyhow I hope it is good....i want it to be good....

Saw it before Star Wars also. It was the only trailer that didn't get booed.

It would be funny if the same people who protest all the Harry Potter stuff ended up coming out against this as well.
