I would like to see more Revolutionary War movies.
War of 1812
Spanish-American War
French and Indian War
King Phillips War
Bacon's Rebellion
Whiskey Rebellion
Blackhawk War
Battle of the Thames and Tecumseh
Ojibwa Uprising of 1862 in Minnesota (Lincoln pardons dozens of Indians sentenced to hang)
Chief Joseph's 2 year flight from U.S. Cavalry from Oregon to Canada (almost)
Gabriel's Rebellion (slave revolt)
Sand Creek Massacre
Founding of Astoria by John Jacob Astor and the fur trade in the NW
Building of the Panama Canal
Building of the Erie Canal
Daniel Boone and the Shawnee in Ohio.
The "massacre" of Marcus and Narcissus Whitman.
there are dozens and dozens of conflicts in the colonial/revolutionary period that would make for great films....the more the merrier I say....

Having studied a bit of Chinese and Japanese history, I really wish there were more movies on either subject. I don't think there's enough quality Asian actors/actresses though.

The eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in AD 79, destroying Pompeii, would be a *fabulous* historical/disaster movie.
