I love Lost in Translation and Bill Murray's performance....what else would I like?

LiT is growing on me even more, and I've seen it 4 times now.

What other movies would I like? More importantly, what other Bill Murray performances would I like?

I know I gotta catch Rushmore and such, but at least I've seen Royal Tenenbaums. I'm just looking for more of that dry Bill Murray humor.

Groundhog Day!

While there's obviously no Bill Murray in them, some of Wong Kar-Wai's movies have largely the same feel as LiT; namely people being "lost" in big cities. WKW's pretty much universally have great music, really inventive cinematography, and quirky characters.

I'd recommend:

Chungking Express
Fallen Angels
In The Mood For Love <- less quirky then the 2 above, but still like LiT

Oh yea, and for dry humor they don't come much dryer then Jim Jarmusch's movies:

Stranger Than Paradise
Dead Man
Down By Law

Although more comical, I really like his performance in "What About Bob?". I just saw it for the first time this month since it's been on HBO On Demand.

The aforementioned Groundhog Day is also great.

neither of these have Bill Murray, but recently released on DVD are "American Splendor" and "The Secret Lives of Dentists"

both are funny, well-acted and written.

Dentists has a hilarious turn otherworldly turn by Denis Leary plus Campbell Scott and Hope Davis.

Paul Giamatti and Hope Davis star in Splendor.

those are just low budget type of indie-ish comedies.

You've never seen Ghostbusters? Caddyshack? Groundhog's Day? Ed Wood? Charlie's Angels? Scrooged? Little Shop of Horrors?
