Ed Wood: Fact or Fiction?

Well I was suprised by the lack of threads about Tim Burton's Ed Wood so I decided to start one. How authentic is the movie? Did he ever meet Orson Welles? Did Lugosi really hate Karloff?

Did Ed ever meet Orson? Yes. Did Lugosi ever hate Karloff? Yes, read his book. Was Wood really a transvestite? Yes.

How do you know Ed met Orson? I had always assumed that part was fabricated.

I*ve read also that the meeting was creative license. Fabulous movie. Martin Landau was brilliant.

Lugosi was a tenth of the man Karloff was.

The movie isn't a biography, it's bits and pieces of his life scrambled around and edited to create an entertaining movie. There's a lot of 'true' things in the movie, but don't take the movie as canon law.
