I finally saw this tonight. It was good, but not as good as I was expecting. I'd say it was a Remember the Titans of hockey. It was a good emotional rah-rah film - people were clapping at some of the hockey scenes. I didn't much care for the actual hockey scenes in the film...they were much more difficult to follow than TV hockey with too much focusing on the bench players. After all I'd heard of them hiring hockey players rather than actors, I was expecting a lot more. I think there was too much crammed into the 2 hours. It's tough to focus on an entire team over that long of a period in any amoutn of detail.

Okay, after a two week delay, I saw it yesterday.
Had me interested the entire time.
Even though I knew how it was going to end, I was on the edge of my seat.
I loved the guy they got to play the Russian Coach... especially those eyebrows.

I thought they focused on the bench way too much. There wasn't nearly enough actual hockey scenes. As a fan though, I would've like to have seen the entire game.
I didn't like the editting. It was too frenetic - MTV like. I like watching from a birds-eye view in a stadium (or somewhat on TV on certain camera angles). I like to see the whole play and what's developing and going on. For Miracle, they'd show a check up close and then quick switch to a breakaway skater up close. I found it difficult to follow the action.
