Don't watch the trailer for "Secret Window"

A buddy of mine sent me the link. I'd not heard of the film and just watched the trailer.

Worst. Trailer. Ever.

Spoiler:
Could they hit you over the head with the 'twist' ending any harder

I'm hoping the movie is a little less heavy handed.

Too Late...

Someone else posted a link to it here at DVDTalk a couple of weeks ago.

Hmmm... I must not have been paying attention, as I don't remember anything in it that seemed to give away a 'twist' ending (and I'm usually pretty sensitive to stuff that like.) Perhaps there are two different trailers.

I just rewatched the trailer... what exactly is being given away? I remember readin the King story, but it was a while ago. Was this the story where
Spoiler:
Depp's character did plagiarize someone early on in his career, then Tutorro's character is revealed to be part of Depp's imagination, and he's punishing himself for his earlier plagiarism... or was that "The Dark Half?"

I don't see a thing wrong with it.

Depp vs. Turturro looks awesome to me.

I'm sorry if I wasn't clear. I think it looks like a fun romp. Looks to set a nice 'scary' mood. The principles are great , and I would have looked forward to watching it had I not seen the trailer.

I could be wrong but
Spoiler:
it sure seems like they're telegraphing the 'twist' something serious.
Plus the trailer's much too long and shows too much plot.

I kept waiting for John Turturro to say [Max Cady]"Come out, come out, wherever you are!"[/Max Cady]
