Movie Songs you listen to over and over...
I was just watching Casablanca again tonight and it made me think of whether or not any of you other movie lovers ever listen to a song multiple times while watching a movie on DVD...
My all time favorite is from Casablanca when they sing:
La Marseillaise
Some other favorites I have are:
Bridge Over the River Kwai: Colonel Bogey March
The Warriors: In The City
STTNG: First Contact: The score during the opening credits
2001 A Space Odyssey: Blue Danube
Muppet Treasure Island: Sailing For Adventure
U-571: The score during the ending credits
Das Boot: It's a Long Way to Tipperary
I'm curious what everyone else's favorites are...

During the closing credits of the film Quiz Show there is a sad, slow, montage of an audience applauding, and they play an extrmely slow version of what we now know as the song Mack the Knife.
It is a great song, and I have replayed the credits several times when watching.

For a couple years, I used to listen to the Schindler's List score while falling asleep.
More recently, Black Hawk Down, American Beauty, and A Road to Perdition have all had songs that I've enjoyed immensely.

When I was in high school we'd listen to the Rocky IV soundtrack (minus two or three songs) before every single cross-country race and track meet. Plus busrides to the same. Literally hundreds of times. Great music to psyche up to!
Nowadays, there are several scores I listen to repeatedly:
The Last of the Mohicans
Edward Scissorhands
Requiem for a Dream
Nightmare before Christmas
Any of Thomas Newman's film scores (Road to Perdition, Meet Joe Black, the Green Mile, Shawshank Redemption, etc.)
Heathers
Any of Christopher Franke's Babylon 5 scores
And of I could ever get my hands on an import of the Flowers in the Attic CD, I'd listen to that a ton too!

Not that any of that makes it a bad song.

I really like The Highlander and Flash Gordon soundtracks and when I was younger, I used to love the Queen song from Iron Eagle. Of course I think my all time fav is the soundtrack to Purple Rain, which seemed to kick off the good soundtrack- awful movie craze.
