Looks lame. I kept asking myself how Johnny Depp and John Turturro could be in such a lame movie.

I have to agree with this. It just seems like EVERY OTHER SINGLE thriller/horror movie, how it's cut in the trailer at least, it could be a great movie, but with this trailer I'd never know. I'll wait for reviews.

Is this based on Stephen King's story "Secret Window, Secret Garden"?

Looks like it could be decent. I love Depp (off the top of my head The Ninth Gate is the only movie I've seen him in that I didn't care for).

I don't think so. It didn't mention him anywhere in the trailer and it said "From the writers of Panic Room."

[dramatic narration]"some windows should not be opened"[/dramatic narration]

I got a laugh out of that one. Trailers these days always coming up with the one liners.

This is based on the King book, and Turturro looks like an Amish serial killer, very weird, dont know about it yet.

Holy cow, Timothy Dutton is in it.

Maybe reprising a role?

I wanted it to be good but I don't care for the trailer. I thought it was going to be a bit paranormal and it ended up just being normal.

As harosa said, this is based on the novella by Stephen King in Four Past Midnight. It is a really good story if anyone is interested in reading it. As far as the trailer goes, I thought it looked great. It does not give anything important away, like so many trailers do these days. There is much more to this story than just some psycho accusing Johnny Depp of plagerising his book.
