Since I like The Eagles, The Dude doesn't get my vote. Sorry.

Cheech and Chong set the standard for the stoner character(s). When I first saw Up in Smoke, I laughed so hard my head hurt for a day in spite of consuming certain nerve numbing and mood altering substances.

Tough call! Before I clicked on the link I figured I'd vote Spicoli (I assumed he'd definitely be on the list,) not even thinking about the Dude. Because well, he's the Dude, and there's so much of his Dudeness that you forget he's a stoner.
