Link between Adaptation, Identity [SPOILERS]

Don't read unless you've seen both movies.

Just watched the scene in Adaptation where Donald is describing his script idea with Charlie. It's got a cop, killer, and victim, and they're all the same person. Reminiscent of Identity to anyone? Both also have John Cusack, natch.

That's pretty funny. But where's the horse-chase scene?

DonnachaOne 12-29-03 01:21 AM

Yeah, I noticed that too. I thought of as more of a merry coincidence, though.

Both are Columbia films... you never know... ;)

Yeah, I think that pretty much shows how bad Identity is.

Both came out January of this year. And Spike Jonez had a secretary named Lincoln and Lincoln had a , oh wait wrong conspiracy.

I never understood the love for Identity. When the end comes it
Spoiler:
makes the whole rest of the film meaningless, insignificant, bc it was all in his head.
and all the scares were accompanied by the loudest sound ever recorded. very cheap scares.

but yes, i believe the subtitle for Identity was The 3.

While we are on the subject of the ending to Identity. I really hated that in the end it was suppose to be in Florida and you see mountains in the background. I like to get into a movie and when stuff like that happens it just ruins it.
