Too bad the trailer seems to give away the first half of the movie.

I'll be the first to say that this looks like utter crap.

Why didn't they just cast Vin Diesel and call it 'A Man Apart 2'?

I think Tony Scott's direction and Washington in bad ass mode will save this.

Tony Scott's not even the best director in his family. This one tanks.

As if A Man Apart created the revenge genre?

It's a different spin: different actors, different characters, different director, different setting.

I'm in. Looks much better than A Man Apart. In terms of visuals, it looks to be already a fascinating film.

Not only gives away half of the movie, but essentially recaps every single plot point for you, from the looks of it.

Overall, looks okay. Nothing great.

Cool - Tony Scott typically makes solid movies (with the exception of The Fan)

I think this trailer was cut by the same guy who did "Double Jeopardy". Looks very cool anyways. Just wish that they didn't give away so much.

Tony Scott is possibly the last, solid, American action director around. He seems to be the only one that still keeps movies fresh without modernizing them too much. And I really appreciate filmmakers who go to great lengths to film physical effects, instead of bastardizing everything with CG. A lot of these newbies are just too lazy when it come to stuff like that.

What happend to the good guys? Richard Donner and John McTiernan anyone? While I'm sure Joel Silver is still making big bucks, I don't think I've enjoyed any of his movies lately.

As soon as I saw that it was a Scott Free Production my face broke into a grin. But I agree that I wish they would have cut a less-revealing trailer - still have high hopes for it though.

The original came out in 1987 for christ sakes.
I did like it (mostly because I like scott glenn)
But, I don't have much hope here.

Yea, he is. But I was referring to his filmmaking' not his ethenticity.

For Tarantino.. I love Kill Bill. Saw it six times so far. But it doesn't really remind me of a traditional American action film.

Not really a remake. Its based off of a book by A.J. Quinnell. Its like saying the 2002 version of " The Time Machine" is a remake of the 1960 version. They are both merely adaptations of the same source material.

I think it looks good. Denzel is great when he's not just playing Denzel, like most of his movies.

This will most likley flop, but end up one of my favorite movies of next year. Much like Out Of Time. Count me in.

Basically, an unhappy bodyguard with a troubled past befriends a little girl he's protecting. She gets kidnapped, and he seeks out revenge against those responsible.

Been there, done that.

Wake me up when Hollywood creates something original.

Tony scott catches the man on fire 1987 film, notices how stylized it is, and immediately believes he can improve on that.
