Great title.

Jackskeleton 12-18-03 09:34 PM

Even with the fan made kill bill style trailer?

Giantrobo 12-19-03 02:37 AM

With all due respect I doubt "the Pope" even knew what was going on.

Rivero 12-19-03 06:33 AM

The Pope is senile and near death. I'm surprised he stuck around for the whole film and didn't wander off somewhere.

Spooky 12-19-03 07:47 AM

Isn't it more likely that a committe at the Vatican watched the film with the Pope and all decided that this would be the Pope's official stance on things? I find it hard to believe at this point (considering his health) that the Pope isn't getting a lot of help from the others around him on Church policy.

BRIAN 1972 12-19-03 08:16 AM

I shook hands with the Pope.

(begin tasteless Pope/Parkingson's joke)
Right now the Pope's challenge is NOT shaking hands.
(end tasteless Pope/Parkingson's joke)

I thought that when you met the Pope, you were supposed to kiss his ring, not shake his hand?

Pope likes passion
Well good for him. I'll make up my own mind.

RyoHazuki 12-19-03 02:14 PM

Wow. Lot of anger here. He wasnt saying that you all have to buy Mel Gibson a house just because the pope liked his movie. He's just stating a fact. Get over it.

Well some of us aren't Catholic, so the Pope's opinion of a film is as irrelevent as what my mom thinks of it.

RyoHazuki 12-19-03 02:36 PM

The Pope's opinion on a film about Jesus' life is irrelevent? He is the leader of about 2.4 billion people who believe in that guy.

Uh, not to nitpick (okay, to nitpick) but it is barely above a billion:

RyoHazuki 12-19-03 03:06 PM

Ok 1 billion. Its still a whole lot of people. More than Pant's mother (I hope).

necros 12-19-03 03:47 PM

Does this mean we'll have a quote from him on the movie poster?

"I love it. It as much better than Jesus Christ Superstar. I'm going to see it again and again."

Kal-El 12-19-03 04:19 PM

I'm glad he did, as I know I will too.

Careful, you don't know who my mother is :)

Capo2002 12-19-03 10:16 PM

If they really want to shock the pope they should show him "Kill Bill."

Josh-da-man 12-20-03 09:03 AM

Yeah, he likes it, but it isn't as good as it was when Timmy was on it.
