I would like to know your favorite war/armed forces movies....
My favorites are: Bridge on the river Kwai The Patriot Behind Enemy Lines |
I just watched 'A Bridge Too Far' It was really good. My favorite though is probably 'Saving Private Ryan'
|
I liked Saving Private Ryan, Enemy at the Gates, Platoon, and Band of Brothers, which I guess isn't really a movie. Oh well.
|
Band of Brothers(although not technically a "movie") would be my favorite.I still need to see Full Metal Jacket though(hides his head in shame) ;)

Funny how we get this question every year about this time from a "New Member".
1. Midway 2. Tora Tora Tora 3. Saving Private Ryan 4. The Patriot 5. Pearl Harbor 6. The Final Countdown (Can't for a REAL DVD to be released for this movie) 7. Schindler's List (when it comes out on DVD) |
I've gotten into war movies a lot more recently (within the last 2 years or so) and all of the ones that have been mentioned are great. Also add in:
- Glory, - Gods And Generals, - Andersonville, - We Were Soldiers, - Patton, and - Band Of Brothers (one more time for good measure :D ) |
I liked U571, but I also really like Where Eagles Dare. My dad used to watch it all the time as I was growing up, so I guess it reminds me of him.
