what should i get

i haven't seen a good, inventive puzzle flick in awhile. stuff like "Memento" and others are such awesome experiences, you just want to show the films to everyone. "21 Grams" is something I'm waiting to see, but I can't feel like I've missed some films that fell under my radar.

What I've seen:
- Mulholland Drive (didn't like it) and basically every Lynch film
- Amores Perros
- Nine Queens
- The Spanish Prisoner

I'm open to foreign films. It can be Asian or European whatever it doesn't matter. Later. Think of a film where after you saw it, you were like "I'm going to show everyone this!"

Not through these eyes! So was it all some sort of nightmare, or what?

I think that Nine Queens slipped past nearly *everyone*. Good job on finding that one.

Have you seen Rashomon? Magnolia (structure is similar to Amores Perros)? Run Lola Run (not my style, but very cool to watch *one* time)?

I love threads like these...I just go straight to Netflix! :)

How about Vanilla Sky? The original version,Open Your Eyes, is really good.

Basic (kind of a puzzle. Some people liked it though I didn't care for it)

Following (Chris Nolan's first film which is really good)

You've probably seen it already. But, The Game is the perfect type of movie you are looking for.

Sex & Lucia

Abre Los Ojos - then Vanilla Sky if you want....but absolutely watch the original first.

(no real reason i offered two spanish titles...just that they are two of the best of this type i've ever seen....amazingly good movies).

I loved this movie. It holds the distinction of being the only movie in which I had to go back and play part of it over again to make sure I really knew what was going on. Very good.

House of Games

You can thank me later.

...erm... I would second House Of Games, but regretfully the DVD is sub-par at best... (not just my NSHO, witness this review)... it will do for a rental, however...

. . . :o . . .
