The Big Empty

Caught a showing of this tonight, and was really impressed. It reminded me very much of U-Turn with a sci-fi spin. The story was a little predictable but it wasn't cliche. The acting was top notch, as can be expected with the cast (Jon Favreau, Daryl Hannah, Rachel Leigh Cook, Sean Bean, Kelsey Grammar, Joey Lauren Adams... all in a low budget movie mind you.) And the fact that all that A-List talent would commit to a low-profile project like this shows some sign of quality.

Anyway, if you've seen it, I'd love to hear your reactions.

I'd hardly call them a-list talent. That's not to say they're an untalented bunch, though. Looked it up on IMDb and it looks... odd, but interesting. One user there says it'll be a cult film that he'll be dragging his friends to every week for midnight shows; I wouldn't take such praise lightly.
