It's hokey but I remember getting a few laughs out of it as a kid. Haven't seen it in YEARS though.

"And I like pudding."

The USA channel used to play this quite a bit at one time.

Part that always cracks me up is when Bill tries to talk to his kids through telepathy.

I always changed the channel after that.

Don't go into it expecting Citizen Kane, or even Leonard Part 6, but it has some funny moments.

Exactly. Bill Cosby is the greatest comedian of all time. If he's in a movie, then it's worth watching at least once.

I saw Ghost Dad in the theater. Often my parents would go to a cool movie that I really wanted to see like Aliens or Silence of the Lambs, but since they were R-rated my folks would stick me and my sister into whatever PG movie was playing at the same time.

Bill has such a tremendous precense that I wish someone would start putting him in real movies. As it is now, if I want to see him, I have to watch Ghost Dad or Lenard Part 6. Seems to me the only half-way decent thing he was in was that Neil Simon movie where he'splaying tennis and arguing with Richard Pryor.

Yeah... this one used to play a lot on TV when I was younger. Always got a laugh out of it because at the time, I kind of thought it was good, but mostly thought it was bad.

I am a huge Cosby fan, but I would definitely not recommend this movie. Just plain boring.

It was as bad as - if not worse than - Leonard Part 6. Even at the time it was released it was garbage... time has not helped either.

Was Cosby ever in another movie after Ghost Dad? I'd love to see him in a new film some time.

I find it amusing that he's usualy thought of and represented as the 'sugary, Jello pushing funnyman', when really in his standup he's often comes across as sour and dark. Most of his routines seem to be about: being beaten by his parents, beating his children, proud sexism, and agression towards his wife. I remember seeing him do a show two years ago, he started talking to some woman sitting in the audience, asking her where her husband was. She said that her husband had died last year and then Bill started cracking jokes about her now being a widower. It was funny and not meanspirited, but it was still pretty dark.

I've heard that Bill Cosby hates white people and he only barely tolerates working with them. This has little relevance, but thought I'd share anyway since we're discussing his character being different than what has been portrayed on tv.

^^Where'd you hear that?
