Best Trilogy of All-Time

Which trilogy gets your vote?

island007 11-14-03 04:21 PM

I go with the Godfather. It has two of the best movies of all-time in the trilogy.

Ginwen 11-14-03 04:30 PM

In spite of the mediocrity of the third movie, Godfather is the clear pick for me due to the superiority of the first two.

Kal-El 11-14-03 04:34 PM

This is really a no brainer. And didn't we just do this 2 months ago?

chanster 11-14-03 04:39 PM

Indiana Jones - no weaknesses.

flixtime 11-14-03 04:42 PM

Star Wars (episodes 4-6) gets my vote.

[Inigo Montoya]You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.[/Inigo Montoya]

Out of the ones I seen (only ones I didnt are LOTR and the 2 and 3 matrix) I have to go with Godfather.

I like the remaining, but as with all trilogies, there is always one film to bring it down. IMO, the Godfather trilogy is the only one with the movie that brings it down the least amount (if that makes any sense).

BTW, why is Episodes 1-3 on here if 3 hasn't been completed yet?

devilshalo 11-14-03 05:03 PM

My vote based upon your definition of trilogy meaning one original and two sequels...

Karate Kid 1-3 :p

As with BTTF and LOTR, it truly follows a continuous storyline. And it happens within a 1 year time frame. Even though they are 3 seperate stories/movies, we really do follow the trials and tribulations of Daniel and Miyagi for that entire year, from the tournament in part 1 to defending his title in part 3. There was a good, natural progression.

I voted for Matrix. :) Was never a big fan of the Godfather movies, and always felt Star Wars and LOTR were overrated.

cactusoly 11-14-03 05:54 PM

How can anyone choose LOTR if the 3rd film isn't out yet?

Star Wars episodes 1-3, followed by The Godfather, then Indy.

In one month it's going to be The Lord of the Rings. I'm sorry all you Star Wars fans but Jackson has done the impossible and actually improved upon the so-called "Holy Trilogy"...

Search your feelings....you know it to be true...
