What do you consider to be the best dream sequence from a movie? I think the one in big lebowski is great!

No contest: The Unicorn dream in Blade Runner

No no no.. ;) The one in "In the Mouth of Madness" freaky everytime. Only Carpenter could pull off a dream within a dream moment.

Which one? There's a couple of them.

My choice: Sherlock Jr. A concept that would eventually be used in both a Woody Allen movie AND an Arnold Schwarzeneggar movie.

Mulholland Drive's was pretty good.

An American Werewolf in London's dream within a dream was very effective. Can the Final Destination sequences be called dreams? If so, they were good as well.

Charlie Kauffman had a good one in Adaptation

It wasn't a dream sequence. It was more of an entire dream.

A good portion of A Nightmare on Elm Street.

Technically, that was a "nightmare" ;)

The dream sequence in Rosemary's Baby completely blew me away. From the way she drifted off to sleep and we went from the real world to inside her dream is the most realistic depiction of dreaming I've ever seen in a movie.

Funniest dream sequence has to be Ghostbusters.

Alfred Hitchcock's Spellbound had pretty interesting dream sequences that were designed by Salvador Dali!

Depending on how you interpret the movie - Total Recall.

Add tv and the most creative by a mile would be Newhart.

Since the poster never mentioned CGI wasn't permitted, it would have to be for me Final Fantasy. But that's from a very small range that come to mind. Most of the films with the best dream sequences are full moves; for example, The Company of Wolves takes place as the girl sleeps, and that~the whole movie~would have to be the single best cinematic dream sequence I've seen.

For family viewing: <b>Dumbo</b> has a pretty wild dream .... or is that just a drunken stupor?

The down-the-toilet scene in <b>Trainspotting</b> is pretty weird - and memorable.
