Halloween 1 question

So I was watching this last night, and saw something that didn't click (or maybe I missed something). When Laurie Strode goes across the street late in the movie (after Michael has killed everyone over there), she walks into the upstairs bedroom and sees her friend laying dead on the bed. Above her head is the tombstone of Michael's sister he killed.

Now:
1. Why is the plaque there? (That isn't his sister on the bed)
2. When he dug up the grave of his sister, he took the tombstone and her body. What did he do with her body?

He didn't dig up her body, he just took the gravestone.

I have another Halloween question. The original Michael mask is a William Shattner one painted white. Are the ones in subsequent films also Shattner mask?

He only stole the headstone.

He put it there as a ritualistic symbol of his previous act of sexual violence against his sister
(the sentimental guy:))

Michale Myers took the headstone, but the crazy hitchhiker dug up the body.
