Has anyone NEVER seen the Indy movies?
I've seen about 75% of the first a long time ago and never seen part 2 or 3. Am I the only one?

I've never seen them. Never had any desire to.
(The other thread doesn't apply to me because I'm not buying the DVDs) BTW, I've never seen any of the Star Wars films either. :) Rob edited to add: I'm 34, and just not a big fan of most action or sci-fi films. :) |
My girlfriend hasn't seen them. She is only 19 though.
She said that she might have watched them as a kid, but doesn't remember them. I am about to introduce her to them this weekend. I cannot wait! |
I have never seen them either. I'm 33.
|
I have never seen them and I'm a huge movie fan, seen plenty of those obscure movies though, and some of them really sucks.
|
I've never seen the first two godfathers. I guess im missing out, just never had a chance to watch them.
|
Me (aged 42).
Never really had any desire (not much of a Lucas/Spielberg/John Williams fan--though I liked the first Star Wars and American Grafitti). [I know that's blatant sacrilege around these parts, but it's just the way I feel.] Celebrate Diversity!!! :) Peace. |
I've only seen bits and pieces of them on tv. I didnt like what i saw well enough to have any interest in buying them on dvd or vhs.

I have never seen them. I will probably ask for them for Christmas. I'm 33 BTW.
|
You're about 10 min too late. . . I've never seen Star Wars....ANY of the 6 movies! Also never seen: Gladiator Saving Private Ryan Green Mile and other MUST SEE blockbusters. |
I've seen them all more times than I care to reveal (I do SO have a life!) but my niece (who's 9) has never seen any of them. She loved THE MUMMY and THE MUMMY RETURNS so this weekend I'm going to give her a dose of the real McCoy. I'm sure my sister-in-law is going to have a cow once she finds out (she thinks the INDIANA JONES movies are too violent) but, as an uncle, I feel it's my job to corrupt her mind at every opportunity. Hey, somebody's gotta do it. :)
|
I've seen them, own them, and love them. But I pretend I haven't seen them because it's kewl to be kontrarian.

I'd never seen the Indy movies either except for a few scenes. I did watch Raiders of the Lost Ark last night and it was sweet. I still haven't seen the Godfather films either.
|
I haven't seen any of them, I'm 19. I'll probably pick up the box set after a price drop though.
|
This girl I know had a kid about 3 months ago. I'm pretty sure the kid hasn't seen it yet. That's about the only person I know who hasn't.
|
I thought I'd seen most of them, but after watching Raiders of the Lost Ark last night, absolutely none of it looked remotely familiar, so I may not have seen any of them.
|
As one who's seen them all in the theater during the original release, this thread frightens me. And for those who didn't see Star Wars and are over 30 - WTF? Those movies were a cultural thing that everyone went to see, even if sci-fi wasn't of interest!
I weep for the future. -HM |

I just turned 20 and I haven't seen these films in years, though as a kid I watched my tapes probably once a month of at least one of them.
I remember some key scenes and that I liked them, but I couldn't tell you a thing about any of the plots. So I can't wait to start watching them on DVD... mmm, younger Harrison Ford... :) |

I have never saw Star Wars or the Godfather. How wierd is that?
|
No.. never seen any independent movies (aka Indy films) before nor have I seen any Indianapolis 400 type movies either.
|
Weird.
I'm 21, big movie fan, and never seen 'em. I dunno, no desire to? And I kinda like the Star Wars movies.... |

Yeah but you fail to realize that the reason everyone is jumping off the bridge is because there is a damn huge stone ball rolling right towards them.... where else are they gonna go! ;)
You know I have always hated the "everyone else is doing it, so I won't, becasue I'm not a sheep" reason to not see a movie. Or the "I don't like that actor or director" reason. I see myself as a fan of movies in general. There have been many movies that I did not like, but I gave them all at least one chance screening. I just don't understand how people can not give any movie at least one screening...how do you know you won't like it. Timmio |

I've only seen Raiders of the Lost Ark in part and I haven't seen The Last Crusade.
|
I've never seen them, but I plan to buy the DVDs when I can save up the money. Money's tight when you're a college student.
I take donations, people. ;) |
I have never seen all of Raiders of the Lost Ark, but I have seen the other two many times. I dont really know why I have never seen it, but I guess there are alot of movies I(and other people) havent seen.

But like I said, this is the Internet, where people go out of their way to be "contrarian." LOOK AT ME! I'M DIFFERENT! LOOK AT MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! |
Originally posted by Groucho The irony of this view is that these people are allowing the masses to dictate what they watch just as much as somebody who does go and see something just because it's popular. |
I have a brother who's in his late 40's who's never seen...
Star Wars ( original AND new films) Raiders Of The Lost Ark Temple of Doom Last Crusade E.T. Forrest Gump ...and pretty much any film in the past 30 years that was non-Woody Allen movie. He even claims he has no idea what Harrison Ford looks like and stands by the assertions "Because I don't know what he looks like, and I'm a 'normal' person, nobody else would either". When I tried saying "How many "normal" people exclusively watch only Woody Allen movies?" he got really angry. In fact he said to me recently "I should start going to the movies. Does Woody have a new one out?". |
