Full Moon Pictures

I have been trying to find out what happened to this company as I love their movies and wanted to see about getting more and/or get merchandise. Does anyone know the fate of my beloved Puppet Master creators?

Last I heard of them (over a year ago) they had legal issues with Paramount. Their website was still up back then. Anyways, their release of the Puppet Masters box set and related merchandise was blocked by Paramount. Some International DVDs did make it to the public though, and if you search long enough you can probably find them on ebay or some auction site for big bucks. Make sure you have a region free player. You will have to get the VHS stuff if you can't find the DVDs.

If I recall, they were basically unable to distribute anything until 2005 or some future date.

Jack Death was one of the coolest characters ever. Right next to Dollman.

Although the movies were on the super-cheesy side, it was still a fun ride. Hopefully, they'll make it back somehow.

If i remember correctly they also did a movie called Dr. Mordrid (or something close to that) that to me seemed a lot like Dr.Strange from Marvel comics. Movie wasn't bad.. about as good as any of the others they have made=P

Their movies started going downhill when they started filming everything in Hungary to save costs, IMHO. Had some classics before that though. The Puppet Masters, just about anything with Tim Thomerson, those shrunken head kids.... ahh those were the days.

Just spent awhile trying to figure out what was going on with Full Moon. Seems like they merged or got bought out by some other company called Shadow awhile back. That version of the company signed a distribution deal with another company called Tempe Entertainment after Paramount dropped them (back in 95 or so). Last year, Tempe dropped all Full Moon products, so it looks like Full Moon/Shadow are on their own with no distributor. They are still in legal limbo with Paramount, so none of their real classics are any closer to DVD. The current movies they are making all suck so things look pretty bleak for them.
