That sums it up nicely! We can now close this thread -smile-

I read the book about a year or so before I heard the movie was being made. It's funny, but as I was reading I remember thinking that the book was totally unfilmmable. Absolutely no way this terrible book would translate onto the screen. I was correct.

You think you have it bad paying for it in the theater? I blind bought this on DVD just to see what the fuss was all about.
What fuss are you referring to??? This movie was universally panned! Where did you hear otherwise?

I ended up watching this pile of crap on Cable last week, and I have to agree. It started off pretty interesting and then went straight down. I wish wasn't one of those people who always has to watch movies to the end, cause I would have turned it off.

I think that panning might actually be the fuss he is referring to.

...but did the innocent people at the retention area? He was obviously bananas.

I actually liked this flick, was never bored, but did think the ending was lame. I TiVo'ed it then deleted. Didn't want to be tempted to watch it again due to the gross-nature of the "worms".

Never read the book. Don't do Stephen King. Too weird for me.

I did like the "Langoliers" flick, though. Again, never read a King book in my life. I also liked that King flick about the trucks and the gas station standoff. With the AC/DC tunes...
