The best Kung-Fu movies?
 

In preperation for Kill Bill, can anybody recommend some good Kung-Fu movies? I'd prefer gore and alot of blood, but what are the best of the past 30 years?

Also, the suit Uma wears in Kill Bill. Which Bruce Lee film was that from?

If you want gore and a lot of blood in a kung-fu movie, you need to see "Riki-Oh: The Story of Riki". Trust me on this.

Definitely GAME OF DEATH to see where Uma borrowed her yellow tracksuit from. And if you haven't done so already, ENTER THE DRAGON, the ultimate martial arts flick. Not really gory, but kick-azz just the same. The first STREET FIGHTER film is pretty damn gory. I'd also recommend FIVE FINGERS OF DEATH and FIVE DEADLY VENOMS.

VERSUS! The film of the year. :)

Versus is not a kung fu movie nor did it come out this year.

Like I've said before....this is a great flick.

Whats a king fu flick?
A film with kung fu in it, Versus has kung fu in it, and I never said it came out this year, I said the film of the year. :) as it was the 1st film I saw this year and its still the best.

I and many others would put it in with the Kung Fu films you lot have talked about.

But if you dont like that sugestion

thats a bargain!!!! they may not be brilliant versions, but hey at that price they are well worth it. :)

The "Guillotine" theme music that appears in this movie will also be used in Kill Bill.

Plus, Fists of the White Lotus features a white-haired kung fu priest named Pai Mei.

In Kill Bill, Gordon Liu (Who also appeared in Fists) will be playing a similar character called Pei Mei.

And of course, you can't go wrong with the already-mentioned Streetfighter movies.

Hopefully more of the asian Kung Fu flicks will be thrown into the mainstream a bit more because of Kill Bill.

I think Kiss of the Dragon with Jet Li should be mentioned. It has some great fighting scenes, esp. the police station scene. LOOK MA NO Wires. LOL

Another vote for Master of the Flying Guillotine. "Well they weren't men....they were FLYYYYYYYYYYYYs.".

But "Five Fingers Of Death" is also worth mentioning!
